Premiere Vide Editing Tutorial

Image
Various video editing software such as Adobe Premiere is another way to really make a project look more polished and professional. For starters this video editing software is on both mac and window computers. Once purchased or already downloaded this can be found either on the desktop or where most of the applications are. Before opening the software, be sure open a new folder called “Premiere Project or P project”. Within that create an image folder and a video clip folder. These two folders will help when gathering materials needed for the project that will be created. For this tutorial find at least two images and 1 recorded video of your liking. When adding videos be sure to convert them into mp4 using this website:   https://offmp3.app/sites/convert-offliberty-video-online or Videos.pexels.com. Also, for the music portion either put in self created or use https://www.bensound.com/ for any music of your choice. This website is royalty free. Now that everything has been...

Possible final project ideas...

Image
The first possible idea is to refine my photo essay and making taking it on to a digital film format. Maybe making it more of a voice over, personal narrative letting the words and images explain my journey of making it to where I am today. As on this project I wish I could've done more when it came to holding more power within the citations which could've really enhanced the project. It would definitely be a redeemer for myself with images like the one shown at the bottom can be included.  Just one of the ideas that possibly might turn into my final project.  Being inspired from my video essay I might want to do one about going though college and experiencing different aspects that come along the way. Showing how college is the possible journey into finding who you are as a person. I really liked the voice over aspect in my project and also how its included as a concept when it comes to video essay. I was thinking I can use myself as a powerful image and the college ...

Video Essay and Reflection

Link to video Essay:  https://youtu.be/1ODAbql4HWE This personal narrative project was inspired by me living my everyday life knowing and remembering all my mother did for me. Just last month on October 23rd, was the day of her birthday. On that day and most days, it feels like yesterday that I lost her. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her. While she was alive she taught me things about the world, people, everything that would prepare to go out and be the best me I can be. She taught me that life might not be a joke but you can always get through it with laughter and positivity. She could've been a comedian if she wanted to. It was just amazing how strong she was and how she took care of everyone. She had a lot going on but still managed to get through it all. Thats something huge i learned which inspired me to be strong enough to come up with this personal narrative about losing my mother. This is seen as my thank to her for all that she has done for ...

Years still feel like days             Narration: Another year with you gone feels like yesterday. Years, days, minutes, hours pass by with a reminder that you aren’t on earth anymore. (Photo of my mother) No one wants to lose a mother. Mothers are the most important key to raising a child. As you bared me for months and had me prematurely on May 15 th , 1999, you were the reason I took my first breath. Complications came along the way due to me being born prematurely, but you chose to keep me alive despite the risk. On that day you gave me the name, Jaimere Malikk Washington (Baby Photo of me). The last child out of five children, I was your baby. It was the start of how you raised me to become the young man I am today. Effects: Fade in Music: Acoustic Piano             Narration: Single mother of five, nothing kept you down no matter what. You worked hard to keep us out of the streets and pr...

Reverse engineering Sofia Coppola's Imaginary World

Image
" Lick the star " by Sofia Copeland, personally the black and white perspective points it out more. It's as if this is what she would want her imaginary world to look like. This somewhat relates to one of the Keri Smith's prompts that involves that actual photo and images that make her imaginary world come to life. That seems to be through a black and white perspective. Which it seems like not a perfect world as most would think a world away from reality would be but this seems to have a yin and yang type of vibe. Take the bad when its bad and you take in the good when everything is fine. The narrator seems to be a guide for us as we enter her imaginary world or the world that she lives in. We are getting other point of views but we still are reflecting back to what the Narrator is telling us. Sophia seems to have a lot of interesting characters within her database which then were transported into her video essay. These characters seem to be dark characters who have...

Podcast reflection and podcast link

Regarding my podcast it was very interesting to create. It was the first time ever that I recorded myself speaking with others about something that I’m passionate about. Usually I hate hearing myself after I recorded my voice but that was a comfort zone I had to get out of. Developing a script for the podcast was cool as well but it helped a lot, so I might not sound scripted. Other than that, I felt like I did alright regarding dialog and just to keep things interested in the listener. As there aren’t many podcasts about poetry, it was great to be a part of a genre that there should be podcast for. Many people might think it’s just people reading poetry, but its more than that. Connecting to any who is interested in poetry is the goal. I think the podcast format is not necessarily the best format for poetry, but it can be something that can be a part of hopefully the expansion of this genre on all platforms. When working on this podcast it was very easy to find people to inter...

Podcast: Long lost poetry in progress

For the genre podcast that I chose, is poetry based that will include poems being read not only by those who are interested in poetry but others who aren't familiar. Specifically coming from college students perspectives. Basically students who are majors besides within the humanities, this provides a different point of view that not only humanity majors are familiar with poetry. Its to prove that poetry is never completely lost in our memories. The podcast title is "Long Lost poetry" because as we went through schooling hearing nursery rhymes and learning about various famous poets, somewhere within our minds we can dig deep and pull out a significant poem that pointed out to us most. To give credit where its due, I was influenced by two poetry podcast called " Faber poetry podcast" and "interesting people reading poetry" . The styles of these of course will show within my own podcast that I created. Therefore, multiple voices besides my own will be ...
